Double Win for CapitalRise: Enterprise & PROPS Awards

CapitalRise is delighted to report two award wins in one week. Uma Rajah, CEO, was announced as ‘Female Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Enterprise Awards, held at the historic Drapers’ Hall in the City of London. Only a few days later, the CapitalRise team was awarded ‘Property Lender of the Year (Under £20m)’ at the PROPS Awards.

The PROPS Awards is a standout event in the UK property industry’s calendar, recognising and celebrating individuals and companies who have excelled in the sector, whilst raising vital funds for the children and young people that the charity and organiser, Variety, supports.

Since 1992, the PROPS Awards has raised over £11 million for Variety, ensuring the charity can continue to provide practical support to disabled and disadvantaged children.

Katy Katani, CapitalRise Lending Director and Variety board member, hosted a table at the ceremony at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London. The win for ‘Property Lender of the Year (Under £20m)’ recognises CapitalRise’s rapid growth and outstanding performance in prime property finance.

Earlier in the week, CapitalRise’s achievements were also recognised at the 12th Enterprise Awards. Uma Rajah, CEO, was announced as ‘Female Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the ceremony, held at the historic Drapers’ Hall in the City of London. The event celebrates founders and entrepreneurs in the tech sector for their vision, growth and innovation.

Uma has smashed through the industry’s ‘glass ceiling’ to establish and grow one of the most successful property finance businesses of its kind, as recognised by this prestigious award.

These two awards follow on from CapitalRise’s other recent success, the firm’s fifth win in a row at this year’s British Bank Awards earlier in May.

To date, the firm has originated over £345m of loans against property valued at £896m and continues to grow rapidly into the second half of 2024. CapitalRise is delighted that its continued success in prime property finance has been recognised by these distinguished awards.
